Alpha-Beta Peel – This combination hydroxy acid delivers the ultra pure, exfoliating benefits of glycolic acid with the proven keratolytic, acne-fighting ingredient, salicylic acid. This formulation is formulated to accelerate the removal of dead skin cells that can interfere with proper oil drainage while helping to reduce the number of acne blemishes, pimples (papules and pustules) and blackheads (comedones).

Medicated Acne Gel – contains benzoyl peroxide which has been shown to destroy P.acne and to assist in preventing bacterial resistance.

Anti-Aging Serum – contains retinol, the pure and active Vitamin A which works to increase cell turnover and exfoliation by stimulating cell production underneath the skin. Matrix Growth Serum – This advanced serum utilizes a unique liposomal delivery system to bring the benefits of Vitamin C, human growth factor TGF-beta-1, antioxidant vitamins and green tea extracts to the deep layers of the skin. This helps to prevent free radical injury and to repair cellular and collagen damage caused by free radicals.

Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) – Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps neutralize that damaging effects of free radicals. Vitamin C stimulates the growth of collagen that is important in maintaining skin elasticity and texture. <>TGF-beta-1 – Tissue Growth Factor (TGF) specifically increases the number of dermal cells (fibroblasts), thus repopulating the underlying dermal tissue with new cells and firming the physical support structure of the skin. TGF directly causes the expression of various matrix compounds (collagen and proteglycans) that both hydrate and regenerate the dermal structure, thereby decreasing lines and wrinkles.

Green Tea

In 2735 BC, Chinese Emperor Shen Nung discovered the curative effects of the green tea (Camellia Sinensis) plant. Since that time, the medicinal powers of green tea have been documented to cure a wide variety of aliments. Recently, American research scientists have found that the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant contain the polyphenol epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), the most powerful naturally occurring antioxidant. Unlike other common extracts of the Camellia Sinensis plant (e.g. black tea and oolong tea), green tea is prepared from fresh leaves, thus accounting for the high concentration of active antioxidants. Antioxidants act to counteract the effects of free radicals, deactivating them before they cause harm. Analysis of published studies demonstrates that green tea polyphenols have anti-inflammatory and anticarcinogenic properties. These effects appear to correlate with antioxidant properties of green tea polyphenols. Archives of Dermatology, 2000; 136;989-994

Green tea, specifically the component EGCG, has the ability to block UV-B-induced leukocyte infiltration. Carcinogenesis, 1999; 2117-2124 Induction of skin tumors by UV radiation was significantly reduced by topical, but no oral, administration of purified EGCG through a mechanism distinct from inhibition of photoimmunosupression. Nutrition and Cancer, 1996; 26(3); 325-35

Green tea polyphenols are strong antioxidants, more powerful than vitamin C and vitamin E. When applied directly to the skin, green tea polyphenols reduced UV-induced erythema and sunburn cell formation in human skin. Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 2003; 48:1-19

Green tea polyphenols can have an anti-inflammatory and calming effect and have been reported to reduce the appearance of skin redness often associated with rosacea.

Not All Green Tea is the Same - Green tea extracts are popular in many skin care products. However, only purified green tea extracts containing a 90% concentrate of the polyphenol epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) have been shown to exert berneficial anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic effects. If a product is not labeld as containing 90% polyphenol green tea extract, it most likely is not fully effective. PureRx® products are specially formulated with pure green tea extracts to deliver the beneficial effects of antioxidants directly to the skin. When used as directed, the PureRx® unique five step program is the most effective, easy-to-use system for cleaner, smoother, younger looking skin.

The quality of your skin is influenced by genetics, hormones, ingested/inhaled materials, environmental toxins, pollutants, topical solutions, and ultraviolet radiation. Many individuals notice that the quality of their skin changes over time – skin which was once smooth, clear and wrinkle-free becomes rough, irregularly pigmented and wrinkled. Fluctuations in hormone levels (estrogen and thyroid hormores) can result in thinner skin. Increases in progesterone can result in uneven pigmentation (commonly known as melasma). Increases in testosterone can result in oily skin and acne formation. Reductions in growth hormone can cause thinning of the skin. Good skincare involves protecting your skin from the damaging effects of UV radiation. But the reality is that most individuals enjoy being outside in the sun.
